Affirming Care for Transgender and Gender Expansive Youth
This training starts out by providing an overview of the basic definitions surrounding gender, gender identity, and gender expression. This training covers the challenges transgender and gender-expansive youth face. The training is geared more towards those working on an organization level to ensure the program is inclusive to those who identify as transgender or gender expansive. Some parts of the training may be outside the scope of CASA (e.g. information regarding those working in a clinical session are provided), but in general provides a decent overview of working with members of this community.
