On April 22, 2025, the National CASA/GAL Association for Children received notice that the U.S. Department of Justice has terminated its federal grant awards. The KCN and local CASA programs in Kentucky are separate entities from National CASA/GAL and are independent non-profit organizations. CASA operations and services for children in Kentucky will continue with business as usual.

The Kentucky CASA Network is working toward having all 120 of Kentucky's counties covered with a CASA program so that children throughout the Commonwealth can have access to a CASA volunteer. We're striving to continue spreading awareness and building the capacity of local CASA programs to make this happen.
